battery types

Hi All I have just bought a new ctek charger for my mgf , i don,t want to sound thick ha! but what type of battery is a car 12v battery ? there are 3 settings on the charger 1 Sealed 2 Gel 3 flooded which one should i set it on ? i,m guessing it a Lead Acid sealed battery , but wasn,t 100% sure thanks
