Greasing the gearbox

Well, I decided to remove the gaiter and access the gear box for tighteing the nuts.

As a good rookie, perhaps, I've tightened too much (or the wrong nut) since it isn't returning in the central position ... :(



Anyway, can I grease the mechanism with normal grease?

Or I'll destroy the change?
