went ahead with my engine service this morning! Glad i did!



Engine oil was very black and gloopy

Oil filter had started to rust?



Apparently they have only been replaced 8000 miles ago ?



Fuel filter wasnt too bad Nor was the air filter...



Spark plugs were also in very poor condition massive gaps and the point on the electrode was worn right down



Wasnt happy with the colour of the electrodes either, they were quite pale, whitish grey deposits, i was expecting rusty brown deposits ?



Could we be running a touch lean or burning something we shouldnt ? I cant find any air leaks along the inlet side ? And surely the ecu would recognise the extra air and compensate With more fuel ?



1.4 petrol 44000 miles?
