Suspect fuel pump ?
Hi,
Got a Rover 45 which has died with symptoms similar to running out of fuel. The gauge is dodgy and works when it wants to.
Put in £10 worth of fuel in 2 cans and it still wont fire.
Runs OK on Bradex
There is no fuel to either side of the fuel filter so I suspect the pump, however I can hear the pump priming for about 10 seconds when the ignition is turned on.
I've tried to suck fuel through from the filter feed pipes and there feels like there is a lot of resistance, I'm not able to suck fuel through at all. Is there another filter somewhere that could be blocked ?
Any suggestions before I take the tank off to get the pump out ?
Thanks
Stu
