TF Rear lights misbehavin'

Went to work this morning and a colleague mentioned that I had a rear light out. Thanks, say I, and plan to swap bulbs tonight.

However, seems more going on-

With engine on, brake lights nearside and boot lid ON (without touching pedal), but offside ALL lamps except indicator 'glowing' dully.

Also, if clutch depressed brake lights go OFF.



I found one thread about brake lights being always on, to do with pedal switch. But here both sides are doing different things.

Anyone had this???
