Timing belt auto adjustor
Did the timing belt & water pump 2 months ago on my TF, was really pleased with myself. I'd usually have gotten someone else to do it but part of the reason for buying this car was self-education.
All seemed well for the first 50 miles but then we hit the first cold spell in December I parked the car up in the garage. Next morning I went in to lift some tools & disaster! The garage floor was covered in coolant.
I've only gotten round to stripping it today and discovered when I fitted the water pump I nipped the O ring so hopefully that will be easily fixed.
OTOH I think I'm going to need a new TB adjuster. In the course of the "learning" I broke it. Is it possible to buy these separately from a TB kit? Will an adjuster from a Land Rover fit?
TIA
EDIT: Actually, all is good. Sourced one from the local motor factors so hopefully get it fitted tomorrow along with a new O ring on the pump.
