Wipers - Loss of Functions

I've followed etiquette and googled and googled to solve this but can't find this specific problem.



Up until recently my wipers worked like this -



Intermittent - OK

Speed 1 - OK

Speed 2 - noticably lower than speed 2 when should be faster

Push stalk down for 1 wipe - OK

Pull for washers - OK



Just recently, seemingly overnight, 2 functions failed and is now -



Intermittent - OK

Speed 1 - OK

Speed 2 - nothing/wipers do not move

Push stalk down for 1 wipe - nothing/wipers do not move

Pull for washers - OK



I did have the motor off about 6 months ago and there was no water ingress.



The joints on the linkage all look like they are on their last legs, but still work.



This new fault with the 2x functions not working just logically feels like an electrical fault, but I may be wrong.



Any ideas ?
