Best angle for oil drain?
On Saturday I ran an oil flush through, drained and refilled, this will be a sacrificial refill as I plan on changing again this week. (Just a clean.)
My drive has a slight slope, I parked with the car facing down the slope, so the engine was higher, and the sump drain plug was facing down the slope. I then drained, removed the filter and refilled. I refilled with 5ltrs of oil and I then pored the old oil into the new oils container (so I could take to the dump). It only filled 4ltrs of the container; and yes I have over filled my engine.... :slap:
So this leads to my question - what is the best angle for our cars to get all of the old oil out of them? Are there any special tricks for the 160 engine due to the oil cooler?
