Locking malfunction
Yesterday my 2005MY TF let me down for the first time. I locked the car with the remote, and a little while later, it wouldn't unlock. I opened the driver's door with the key, and the car was driveable. However, it remains impossible to open the passenger door from the inside or the outside.
I have the EVA code - will inputting that via the key procedure in the handbook have any effect, or is this a component failure in one door or the other? Or what?
The car battery is 10 years old but seems to have good voltage, although very occasionally, the starter motor just clicks and doesn't turn, but that may be a starter fault rather than the battery. A further turn of the key has then always done the business.
All advice gratefully accepted.
