odd leak

any one help me will a leak l have, l have a 2002 rover 25 engine is a 1.4, l have a small leak with the water coming out the bottom of the bell housing its not a lot about half a pint in a week, no water seems to be running in to the top of the housing any were, l was thinking there may be a core plug at the back of the engine behind the housing but l dont know this started about a week ago, head gasket was done 18 months ago but dosnt look like it leaking any were, only other fault i have and l have had this since i got the car some mornings it runs like it as a miss till it warms up, any ideas any one.
