Radiator holding plates
Attachment 87570
Took off the radiator holding plates. They were rusty on top, underneath and left rust on the slam panel.
I thought I would have to replace them. However I undid the hex screws and gently pulled the plate and rubber rad holder off. I did not know if the rad. would move. It did not so I took the other plate off as well. Rubbers pushed out and a little bit of time with a Dremel like tool and I was amazed how I had removed the rust. (they were bad).
Two coats of primer, 2000 wet 'n'dry and two coats of black finish, time to dry and they were ready to go back on.
It's the little jobs that build up that don't always get done. Well, there's another one ticked off the list.
