Rover 400 1.4 no engine warning light, rough running

Hi all



Have an issue with my 1999 rover 400, 1.4 k series manual.



Started to run really rough below 2K rpm, wouldn't idle well and could stall pulling away.

Had the same issue 4 years ago and changed the TPS and did TPS reset, problem gone.



So this time I changed the TPS for a used one but no different, got another (new)TPS, but no go.



All the tech info I have points to the TPS or the TPS wiring but all seems to check out.



However, I noticed the my engine warning light does not illuminate at all when the ign is switched on. according to the manual it should.

So makes me think there is an earthing issue here or the bulb's gone causing probs.



Any ideas?
