New Lower suspension arm & car feels funny

I have fitted a new lower suspension arm because the lower ball joint was knackered to the nearside on my 2003 MG ZR 105+
The steering wheel is now off centre. The steering feels light and when you go over bumps and stuff the steering wheel moves/pulls far too easily in my hands- as if the bump/camber of the road is making the road wheel move.
I also noticed when turning right the tyre makes a shriek noise like when your taking a corner too fast and the tyre is skidding also

Does any one have any ideas what i have done wrong, or if perhaps I have damaged other components?
