Hello guys its my first post on this site, I'm wanting to know if I can turn my mg tf engine 1.6 115 bhp which is fully stripped and going to be rebuilt to a 1.8 I've seen a topic on here but they have always got carried away onto another topic. I believe that they are the same size bore and a different stroke. I know i will need a different crank but will i need different con rods/pistons and liners, hence the difference in stroke. this will be my little project for a few month and ill be dropping it into my rover 25 impression s which is the 1.4 with a restricted inlet manifold 84 bhp/ cheap insurance. Also it will be sorn and fully stripped as me and my mate will be turning it into a off road car around his own field.
