MGZR 160 VVC Exhaust system??
The Janspeed may give a small benefit if you are installing the full system, but from my own experience, any difference from fitting a Janspeed cat-back is indiscernible. It does change the note to a deeper burble, but is not particularly noisy. The 6x4 oval is a little louder than standard (but still fairly quiet), and the twin tailpipe version is very little different from standard, just a deeper note.
Your biggest difficulty will be finding an XPower version, as they are no longer available since PTP went out of commission. Used ones do come up on eBay and Gumtree etc from time to time, but the asking prices vary anywhere between £50 to £150+ for the Xpower engraved rear section.
I would go with Janspeed every time, but I know other people will recommend other makes. The Janspeed syst was designed specifically for the ZR on behalf of (and with the involvement of) MG Sport and Racing; other makes tend to be more generic in nature with jsut the bends in the pipework and the flanges to suit the ZR.
