Parking sensors repair

Hi guys, I have my MG ZS for a number of years now. The parking sensors never worked but it's now when in looking into fixing. Sensor don't detect absolutely anything, and sometimes when I reverse they do a long beep. Then nothing.
Im was wondering what I can do, replacing the detectors? Maybe a wrong or damaged plug?
