Simple tip that may save lots of trouble!
A few years back when I had my first TF (an 04 which I bought from new) I just finished work and found that the battery in my keyfob had drained to the point of it not being able to unlock the car. Car locked and immobilised and no way of unlocking as my spare was back at home some 20 miles away! (Battery was about 7 years old by then)!
Fortunately I managed to find CR2032 battery in my workshop at work, so it got me out of the ****e, so now I plan to keep a spare battery taped up inside my boot area somewhere, as its accessible with just the key, just in case anything like that happens again! Just a quick tip that may help someone sometime!
