yes another injector and maf questions!!!

HI everyone just joined recently and wanted some help from you budding guys... sooo here goes my life story..

i have just purchased a mg ZS 2.0l td facelift (2004) and i bought this car without any real service history apart from the last servide and timing belt history, anyway.. i have been told that it has had a full stainless steel exhaust with cat removed and i think that seems to be the case, it also has a cone filter attached and it has also had the boost pipes changed to uprated ones and its had some chip or something installed which does something to the maf when activated by pressing a button in the car and i have also been told the cars turbo has been boosted to the 19psi reccomended and that it has been remapped however there is no proof for this.

now my plan is to service the car first and foremost as it seems like it hasnt been serviced in a long while..then i intend to check and see to the mods,

what i would like to know is:

1. if anyone can help is how would i check to see if the injectors have been changed to the sdi injectors? is there a way of physically looking at them and knowing the difference?

2. i was told by the guy who i bought the car from that it is supposedly meant to bypass the maf sensor or something and make the car faster however he said he thinks its wired up wrong as he didnt do it he had bought the car with it on and i was told that if swicthed on the engine management light would come on and would need to be turned off by using a diagnostic machine.

curiosity got the best of me and i ended up pressing the button when i did this the engine management light came on just as i was told, the car seemed to really go however it was really umm ''revvy'' and it felt as if the revs were doing all the talking as if the clutch were slipping, could anyone help? i will try to put up pictures soon of the make of the chip as he provided me with the fitting instructions that the chip came with., but any info in regards to whats actually happening would really help !!
