2004 Mk1 1.8 Conn Tail light problem

Hi Guys, just received the old 45 back from my Son...prior to MOT..It has Lexus style rear lights which worked a treat up until very recently. I have all the lights fully functioning including the Rear Fog lights, which operate via a dual filament along with the Tail light (same bulb).
I do not have tail lights everything else works interior lights front front fog sidelights etc etc.
Any ideas?
