How much can a standard ZS 120 fuel pump take?

Hey all

As the usual mk2 fuel tank problems slowly set in, i have been toying with the idea of fitting an up-rated fuel pump whilst the tank is off, question been is it necessary? i am slowly building up a circa 300bhp turbo engine for the car and am wondering if the standard in tank pump would be up to the task? competitively priced alternatives are floating about on ebay such as this:

would i really need to replace it? i have heard alot of talk about bosch pumps too would possibly be a better idea?
