I'm new here-here's my tuppence worth of what I think MG should be doing next.
1. Design cool cars-already done with the Icon concept and 5 concept. Stunning looking cars.
2. Make new concepts a reality-With the great reception these car designs recieved it really is a backward decision not to bring them out. Even a very similar model.
3. Bring the GT out-It looks like a facelifted 6. Change the awful arse on it though.So near a good GT design.
4. Bring some assembly back here in the future by giving us a car (any of the above) the public would buy in droves. SAIC can't bang on enough about the British link to MG with Union flags etc. all over adverts and promotions. It is becoming irritating, more so now assembly has stopped altogether here. To get public trust in the UK build a car here when volumes allow. If MG are only designing cars here then that is fine to an extent but without manufacturing any cars it's a problem. Unless the designs come out looking so great like the concepts and they push the designed in Britain angle. Then I don't think the public would mind as much.
5. Make a sports retro classic. If it ever comes that should be the car that's built here. That would heal the brand big time.
Sometimes you just wish you could have input to MG. Dream dream.
6. When the next BTTC car comes along sell a version that actually looks a lot like it. Body kit. Large wheels. Tuned engine.
7. Don't make the new small crossover look like every other mundane copy. Seeing the latest spy shots it looks naff. It should look like the Icon.
8. Bring out another GS which looks even more like the concept GS. (Facelift).
