Rear backplate bolts

Does anyone know the thread size and pitch of the four 8mm Allen bolts that hold the rear backplate onto the trailing arm. I did the rhs no problem but the insides of the Allen bolts on the lhs have rusted badly and need drilling out. As I can't replace them with the original style bolt, there are none available, can anyone suggest a MG/Rover or Landrover alternative. A hex head is a better option I think.
