Wishbone Woes
I've just spent most of the daylight hours changing a new defective lower arm and bush for my old lower arm and a new genuine MG Rover bush. I've just replaced the clutch, so I thought I'd replace the lower arm and bush. It had been an advisory last MOT and took about 15 minutes to change with the sub-frame out.
Unfortunately I noticed that the new thing didn't spring, but not until connecting everything back up with sub-frame in.
When I got the new one out I found that I could rotate it through 360 degrees, the arm just rotates inside the bush, probably a trading standards issue as the e-mail at dmgrs isn't working.
I just hope the clutch and slave I've fitted are ok and the car doesn't fail on the old ball joints.
