Passenger door leak mini project
Totally fed up with passenger door leak.
I've spent tens of pounds of silicon tubing to improve the seal fitting.
The door card busted but fitting/removing trying to adjust the window.
I've invested time... and still the car works more like a swimming pool than an automotive mechanical device.
I see no point in buying a second hand seal that could be as worse as mine, and a new one, front door seal, si ~180£!!!!!!!
So, I've ordere this item: D-Type rubber seal
The basic idea is to add this seal to the existing one, and "forcing" an improved seal with the window, ensuring a water tight window.
The planned steps will:
* Figure out how to fit the new seal, over the original, to accomplish its mission
* At first use it's adhesive strip, if the seal works, but the adhesive don't hold, use a sealant to glue it together
* It is possible "cut" the original seal to properly align the new one
I'll report back once I'll receive the item.
