1.8 Alittle Different after HGF repair

Hi just wanted some opinions



I've had my HG done 1.8k and the newer Payen BW750 has been used (Not MLS)



The garage had to skim the head a fair bit but tbh they have done a really good job. The engine starts perfectly and runs smoothly. The only issue is the engine feels different like its lost its response a little. Its hard to describe but its lost that throaty sound and doesn't feel as quick at accelerating as before. Is this something I may have to live with because the head has been skimmed changing the compression ratio? Could I get the EGU re-mapped to get that response back im use to?
