Bad brakes

The brakes on my F have been bleedin awful since I bought it last summer. It squeezeed through the MOT on rear brakes last year and I've just had new rear calipers and discs. However, they don't seem much better. So, what could it be?



(And yes, I have knocked it into neutral and tried them).



Thoughts are front calipers - but this didn't show on the MOT or servo (favourite), the servo seems to pass the 'does the pedal drop when the engine is started test', but I'm wondering if it could have a slight air leak or summat. Any ideas folks?
