Car wont start, fuse blown?
Alright, my alternator was faulty, and so we bought an alternator, and instead of taking it to a garage, we asked a relative to help as as he usually knows this ****.
Anyway, long story short, he doesn't and he screwed it up more than before (I'm ****ed off because I realised he had no idea what the **** he was doing almost immedately but my dad is jumped up and so wanted the relative to finish anyway).
Now the the car wont start, the central locking doesn't work, the radio won't turn on when the keys in the acc position, the wing mirrors won't adjust, the check engine light fades out (rather than switches off) and does so too early when the key is in the acc position, and to top it all off the alternator wasn't even changed.
The battery's got decent voltage because we bought a new one, it's not the starter, it was replaced a couple of months ago
Anyway, does anyone know where the problem might lie? I'm thinking a fuse (he almost immediately got shocked because he stuck a ratchet down with the battery fully connected - despite me telling him multiple times to disconnect the negative), but is it possible that it's something else (he undid the radiator hosing to the left of the engine to get a better view and got water all over the engine, might that have done anthing)?
