No oil = car wont start?
Hi all,
Parked car up last Thursday night, went away for the weekend, tryed to start it yesterday and although it was turning over fine it would not start, although it was trying to. Checked battery and ht leads, all seems ok tho` I'm really no mechanic. Then I remember a little leak of oil a while ago that I didn't pay attention to, so check oil filler and it seemed rather dry in there. Filled it up with some 5w 30 semi synth and bingo it started! Took it for a drive, parked it, restarted it and all is good. Surely can't be lack of oil that was preventing it from starting was it? It's Honda 1.8 with 100k miles on it.
Any thoughts welcome!
Thanks
