corrosion top of windscreen

Hi, my Rover 45 has some corrosion peeping out from the windscreen top rubber. Car body shop wants to do a professional job and respray the entire roof for £600. That is a non-starter, more than the car is worth.



I just want to peel back the rubber, sand the rust away, fill the holes, prime and touch up spray for a local repair for about £50. Basically stop the rust and tart it up.



Anyone got step by step instructions how to do this? I'm not even sure how to get behind the windscreen rubber.
