gearbox problem

hi folks

i need your help please i have a rover 45 facelift model

54 plate..

for some unknown reason rover decided to put the gretag ford gearbox in some rover 45`s from 03 onwards

mines one ov them..

anyway the problem i am having is no matter what gear i put the car in you can still spin the wheels has though

it is in nuetral

this happened after i rocked the car whilst it was in gear

and getting a loud clicking sound like the starter motor

had stuck out and was catching on the flywheel..

removed starter but still made sound

took car out of gear and ever sice had problem of no matter what gear i select it`s like it`s in nuetral
