Head Gasket- MLS or Elastomeric

Hi all,

I been reading up on which HG I should use on a K-series engine. Its leaking coolant from the front and gearbox end, theres no oil/coolant mix and its not overheating and still running 100%.

I understand if all the liners are 0.003-0.0004" proud and even above the bock then I use a MLS gasket. If the liners are lower than 0.003 but still even I use a Elastomeric one.

And if the liners are uneven I've got problems!



Can anyone confirm my thinking?
