I want a Midget Project, Advice?
Hi, I am currently in the situation where I have a 03 celica with a messed up engine, and im driving my partners old KA.
Now I am thinking, and I have this idea in my head. I want to do a midget project.
I am 19, so cannot put a Mother of an engine in one yet for insurance purposes. So I want to start from the ground up, leaving in the 1500 midget engine.
I plan on making it a modern twist, (a few old school fans may not appreciate this)
But id like to flare the arches, I see an AC cobra blue as its colour, lose the bumpers, maybe add some modern things inside, sat nav etc, possibly some circular individual digital dashboard speedos etc.
How feasible is this? how much do you guys think it would cost?
Also once this is done, I would love to have it as a daily runner, go to work in it etc, I know most restorations are for weekend/hobby purposes.
Any info on this kind of thing would be appreciated, I want to start learning more about engines etc, and I have been told the1500cc midget block is a nice place to start, very basic.
