New MGTF owner here. :)

Good morning!



I did post on here before but it was when I was buying an MGTF. Anyways, I have owned one since last week and haven't regretted it ever since. :D Fantastic 2002 MG TF 160 VVC pictured below:









Now comes some questions I want to ask... they've probably been asked zillions of times here, but still.... :)



1.) Many people have said for years now, and for many cars, that higher octane unleaded is better for performance as well as keeping the engine clean inside. Does this apply for the TF? I ask because some people on here says it doesn't matter due to some missing facility that make full use of higher octane fuel? I'm not saying I'm skint, but I don't want to waste money either if I can help it. ;) In the meantime I've been using 95 octane for taking the car home from the previous owner... didn't seem sluggish to me.



2.) I was advised to use 5W30 oil... what brand would you suggest? Once again, not expensive, but decent quality if possible?



3.) Coolant solution... again, what brand would you pick?



4.) Does anyone else here have a Kenwood 6-CD changer system? (in the boot) Unless there's something I'm forgetting to do, it doesn't seem to read any music CDs I insert into it. It reads them 1 by 1, but ends up saying "No Disc". :/ At first, I thought it may be to do with "missing copyright" reading? ... but maybe not?



5.) This car has a low coolant alarm fitted which, from what I can see, is fitted inside the nozzle of the water tank? I remember the seller taking it off and showing me, on the same day I took it home, but I forgot how to do this. I'll post a photo of it later to show you what I mean. (I'm at work atm)
