R25 1.4 petrol engine tapping noise

Hi guys,



Help me out here please, my R25 1.4 petrol engine (62kw) has a tapping noise.

I know that this sound is kinda "normal" for k series engines but maybe you can tell me if I should worry about something or not.

From what I saw on the internet and youtube problems like this can come from: cracked cylinder, big end fail, tappets...(first 2 are big problems)



my engine has 160000 km done and has been taken real good care of (head gasket was changed, oil was changed every 8000 km max 10000km). At this point the oil has 7000km and is a MOBIL 2000 10w40 and am planing to use a full synthetic oil 5w40 mobil 3000.
