Rear Seat Buttons Rusted/Stuck Down

Hi, hope someone else has managed to solve this problem if you could help me out here guys I'd be very grateful (again). Due to massive leak into the boot that is finally now solved the damp from it seems to have rusted the buttons you press down to be able to push down the back seats. I didn't want to do this as already had a near miss with these things getting stuck on my other ZT. Now I have the worst of both worlds. On one side it is freed off but won't click back into place but at least I can get at the mechanism in the back of the back seat. The other side is pressed down but will not open. I have tried spraying in 3 in 1 oil and banging the seat to see if will eventually free off but to no avail. If closed up there is no access at all from the back so you are completely stumped. So I have a back seat which is totally unsuitable for back seat passangers at the moment. Has anyone found a smart work around for this without damaging the seat? Many thanks upfront for any comments.
