Rear view mirror fell off :( help

I feel like a total balloon for this. Even my wife is keeping me going over it.

I was just outside to vacuum my car and clean the inside windows.

I was cleaning the windscreen and literally only touched the mirror, very lightly. I use heavier force to position it. Well anyway, it just fell off.

It has a metal plate on the back and a there is a wee black square on the window where it goes. I can not get it back on.

I tried to switch thing to see if it works via a vacuum seal like my GPS mount. And nothing.

How the heck does it go back on??

I have to get to Uni in the morning and I can't drive without a mirror lol..

Seriously need help guys..
