Subaru Impreza costs?

Just wondering about the pros and cons of if somebody where to buy a Subaru Impreza. Mainly the WRX models.

Seen one for £3,500 today for a 1.6l 2006 model. Very nice looking car but surely the running costs must be pretty high. I imagine insurance would be rather high?

Is repairs expensive on them?
