Window lift motors

Hi,

New to this forum although we have owned a TF for about three years and an F for about five years before that.



Problem now with the drivers side window lift motor, works when it feels like it, when it decides not to work the dash lights dim so we assume it is a motor fault not a switch fault.



If I am correct, are the left and right motors interchangeable? (obviously the mechanisms are not).



Any advice would be most welcome.
