Windows 7 Media PC
I have a basic PC under the TV with a cheapo TV card in in it. We use it for recording / pausing live TV and watching iPlayer etc. It has worked brilliantly for a couple of years running XP and MediaPortal.
However, recently "upgraded" to Windows 7, 64-bit. Installed Media Portal again, but had loads of problems watching live TV (lots of jittering and delay), recording and even watching iPlayer. So - reformated hard drive and re-installed Windows 7, and decided to try MediaCentre. It works fine. Records TV and watching live TV is ok.
I do have an issue - when watching live TV, every so often the border around the picture shrinks. Then a few moments later, it will pull back and reveal the whole picture again. It is really strange! I am guessing Media Centre is trying to adjust the aspect ratio - is there a way to switch this off??
PC spec: AMD A4 with 4Gb RAM (I upgraded from 2Gb after installing Win 7), Win 7 professional 64-bit. It has a 64Gb SSD (operating system), and 500Gb (recorded TV) SATA drive.
