Fitting speakers where there once were none

Has anyone done this in a 3dr ZR/25? fitting speakers in the rear panels?

I'm currently thinking about doing it, aside from the obvious fitting issues (being an amateur) I'm thinking of a couple of questions

  1. Is it worth it? I'll usually only have 1 or 2 people in the car, will it enhance sound quality for us?

  2. The stock speakers are mediocre at best, is it possible to boost the aftermarkets, so the stocks are quieter, thus increasing total sound quality? Will having these speakers as the main ones affect listenability?

  3. For anyone in the rear, will it be any good for them - I've had someone complain that they can only hear bass in the back (I have dual 12s in the boot, but theyre set up so the sound is perfectly] balanced when youre in the front) Will a speaker either side be any use for them, or will they get drowned out?

  4. Where will the amp go? The subs have their amp drilled into the box, I'll need to get RCAs from it to second amp because (1)I only have one preout (2) there arent enough channels on my existing amp because one channel is broken, making it a 3 channel amp

  5. Where's the best place to put them? Rear panel or parcel shelf? With the subs, I'm thinking parcel shelf speakers will be drowned out bfore they even have a chance, but the rear panel is harder to get to and worse if it gets botched
