Aux belt has knacked cam belt...

Hi fellas,



After a previous post a while back and reported back that the method you guy/s (chap I purchased some resistors from) meant i didnt need to change clutch I thought id ask for some more opinions about the title above.



03 ZS+ TD. 127k. 3rd owner. Boss was previous owner for 7 years and well looked after. Great condition. Clutch & Belt @ 100k



Driving to work. Slight tapping like grit in tyre. Gets louder. 3/4 mins later have to pull over due to noise. As I pull over engine cuts out. Pop bonnet. Aux belt looking like a third of width missing and shredded on side. Figure i'll cut threading off and get home. Try to start and no go. RAC recovery. Cam top cover loosened. Balls! Belt is loose on sprocket.



So....



1) Try fit new belt and cross absolutely everything (but in my heart i would say chances are it certainly isnt a clearance engine)

2) Take head off and have a look, replacement head....

3) Replace whole engine

4) Scrap it/sell it as damage and ut something else.



Edit: started post on tablet and couldnt scroll down/edit as they're rubbish for actuall doing anything on...
