Carbon Fibre splitter, Opinions welcome

Ruby is a track day car!!!!!

Never thought I would say that but my son has persuaded me to use her as one after a successful day last month. Partly through intelligent argument and clever persuasion but mostly by offering to pay half of the repair and upgrade costs.



Soooooo, A splitter?

Here is what I am planning and welcome suggestions/advice.

I started with a sheet of aluminium and cut it to shape.







Here is it offered up to the car













Once I have finalised the shape I plan to wrap it (or the visible part anyway) in carbon fibre to make it look good and give it some rigidity.

Can any one tell me if it is the right shape? It almost touches the black flap on the underside of the bumper.
