Gearchange Cable bulkhead plate

Fonts of all Knowledge - I need your help!



I have at last finished repairing the snapped gearchange cables and I am struggling to get the tunnel plate back into position - my question is do you think it would be safe to leave it off or am i risking it?



This is the only thing I am unsure about - everything else is done!
