Help With HGF diagnosis
Hello, i've took my MG ZR 1.4 03 reg to a garage twice for loss of coolant they replaced the thermostat and the radiator and im still having the same problem. the garage i took it to said its not the HGf or Inlet manifold (Hydro carbon test or something). The oil is not milky and the no oil in coolant!!!
I took it to a MG Rover "specialist" for a MOT Yesterday and it passed with a clean sheet. I asked em to have a look why i'm losing coolant and almost instantly they said that the head gasket has failed! they said that when he took the oil cap of it was puffing steam when the engine was running and was still steaming when the engine had stopped.. he said it was in the early stages.
quick look on google and it says something about the o rings or something.
Please can someone advice me if the garage are right as they are doing the HG for £525 quite a bit of money tomorrow!!! and i think i'm getting ripped of as im not 100% sure it is the HG
Advice please im desperate.
