I am in the market for a new cat and lamba sensor (failed on emissions).

The car is a summer toy so don’t want to spend too much money, If I buy a none type approved cat (they seem to be for pre 2001 cars) will it fit and will it past the dreaded MOT? By the way my car is a 2003 model
