MG TF - What to buy

Apologies if this topic has been beaten to death already. I am looking to buy my first car in the UK since I arrived in London 10 years ago. I like the looks and the styling of the TF and therefore I am convinced I should go for it. I haven't driven one yet but I am sure it will be fine. I was looking at the 2005 models that go for around £3,500, relatively low mileage etc but I came across a 2010 model (not the LE500 though I believe) for £5,500. The styling is slightly different, I believe it has bigger tires and the dashboard is more modern. It potentially has less wear and tear (e.g. rusted bits etc). But is the price difference justified given that the two cards are otherwise quite similar? Of course one can find examples with leather seats etc but this is secondary at this stage.



What sort of upgrades can one do on the 2005 model with a £2,000 budget? Not looking to do any but I just want to see if the price gap is justified and if I decided to go for the older model whether I could make it a bit better over time and breathe more life into it, after all a 2005 car is almost 10 years old by now.
