Radiator problems solved.

I started the job of flushing my F today to try and solve the airlock problems I have been having.

Took the slam panel off to get better access and took one look at the radiator - What a mess!!

About 12 of the cooling pipes were swollen up and the corrugated foil was falling to pieces like ash!

No point in back-flushing that.

Looked up for a new radiator and Euro Car Parts had it online for £77.

Phoned my local Euro Car Parts and the same one was £53 inc vat and on the shelf!

The lesson there is always check your branch - online is not always cheaper.

It fitted perfectly.

New coolant and run it up to temp and so far everything is good.

The problem that I was having was that an airlock would build up in the radiator after about 15 miles and the coolant level would rise almost to the top of the bottle. No coolant loss and no exhaust fumes in the coolant. Jiggle valves are clear and fully bled from all 3 points.

Fingers crossed!
