starting troubles again!
hi there
just been replacing a dead pump on a guys rover 45, but still cant get it to start,
i did notice the needle lift sensor wires where chafed so i decided to have a wiggle, well then the wires pulled right out the plug, the wire was quite tight when plugged in so it must have been stressing them a bit and by wiggling it i think i finished it off!
any way before i did that i had the engine almost firing, but as i was on my own i couldnt nip the injector union up at the same time as cranking it.
one more thing i noticed was that the tach on the dash wasnt working, is that related to the lift sensor or might i have knocked the fly wheel sensor plug as i was working down there with the timing pin?
any ideas?!
cheers
