Them Plugs

If you have an MGTF I am sure you have had the warning light on due to the plugs fitted under both seats. I have seen questions on this before but why do they fail and work for a short while when cleaned with electrical cleaner. I must admit I am now fed up with these warning lights coming on. I also do move my seat each time I get in and out of the car but the plugs are still firmly fixed in position please can someone give me an answer once and for all
