Dirty airbox mod

Hi guys,



I've just read about the dirty airbox mod and had a few questions, I understand that it's taking the pipe out just above the panel filter but all I've read is that it gives more noise but is abit sluggish at low revs? So would I be better of leaving the pipe in but removing the resonator box instead as I've read all the does is improve noise without the sluggish affect at low revs so is this the better option if or improving noise but keeping drive ability ?
